Sharif has an extensive background in social business design, customer experience design, retail management, and leading successful teams. From connecting retail stores to the communities in which they serve though social, to creating fully integrated social customer service queues; he has developed and implemented several enterprise social business programs used today by Fortune 500 companies. His local (retail) social efforts and innovations are featured in the book “The Connected Company” by Dave Gray, Former SVP of Strategy at Dachis Group.
Sharif is currently responsible for leadership and strategy of the Social Media program for U.S. Cellular. His focus is on driving key programs set to deliver best in class customer service through social platforms, develop innovative approaches to building online relationships with customers and prospects, and leveraging customer advocacy as a marketing channel for the business. Sharif’s team is accountable for the delivery of cutting edge digital experiences with engaging social components that drive new customer acquisition and aid in customer retention. Sharif is also committed to being a strong mentor and coach for his team and champion for the organization’s distinct culture.
On a more personal note, Sharif is a loving husband and proud father to two beautiful girls who provide his daily inspiration. In his free time Sharif is an avid BBQer, cyclist, and overall outdoor enthusiast.
